All In Jest
I've been itching to make something new. Yesterday I tried to make an ornament that I've had in my head for a few days. I sketched it out, made the pattern, sewed it together (right sides facing), and turned it inside out. Well, I tried to turn it inside out. (Notice there is no picture of an ornament here. One Good Bumblebee is a braver woman than I.) No! I did not turn it inside out because only then did I realize I had designed something I could never possibly turn inside out. You see, the ornament has a hole in the center - which I sewed up first, making it impossible to complete.
To soothe my bruised ego I made myself a Teensy Jester. (There that’s better!) I like the combination of the felt and clay for his jolly little hat.

I also like how the colors of my jester match this lovely scarf set I found in the Sundance catalog. (Click on the "additional views" to see the hat and gloves too.) Beautiful embroidery. Nice gift idea too. ;)

I'm really impressed by your works ! Each time I discover a new thing from you I think that you're a fairy with magical potion in your hands and creating a small world for all elfes and fairies ! What a wonderful world you created !!! Congratulations ! Cheers !

Incredibly cute! I don't know how you can work such magic on such a small scale! You must have a magic wand hiding somewhere ;D

this guy is so much fun! i love his crooked little mouth and the hat is a marvel. can relate to your inside out issues, been there. sometimes the engineering escapes me until it's too late. it would be interesting to see everyone's projects that went horribly wrong. i know i have lots of those lying around.
