impluse buy
Here are a couple of posters that I recently won on ebay. (They're reprints of vintage posters.) They were a total impulse buy and now that I have them I'm not sure where I'll put them. Oh no, I just lied to you. Sorry. I absolutely know that I'll add them to the stack of prints and unframed art that I have here in my studio. It's just so hard for me to put things up on the walls. I daydream of living in a gallery-inspired house with endless white walls. Of course, I also dream of a charming bungalow and then there's the mid-century modern house and the summer cottage in the woods... and the... ahem, excuse me I must have gotten carried away. Funny how my dreams tend to steal my enthusiasm for the here and now, which is what I'm striving to be content with. I'll blame today's departure into la la land on the mountain of housework that I've been avoiding for a few days now. *small almost imperceptible sigh* I'd better go chase some dust bunnies. See you tomorrow.

My goodness, you've just described me! I'm supposed to be concentrating on my final-year-of-university dissertation at the moment, but instead I'm reading blogs (I found ours yesterday and bookmarked it) and dreaming dreams about becoming crafty!

Wow, those are fabulous. I especially love the Household Arts one. And I'm the same, I buy all these prints and never seem to get around to framing and hanging them up on the wall.

My dust bunnies chase back! Ebay always gets me. My thing is fabric. Do I need it? Do I have a plan for using it?.... Well no but I just can't help myself.

Echoing "fabulous".
I've got a stack, too.

I'm sitting here all smug. Finally. Something I DON'T collect.
But...
Now I WANT to...
They are beautiful!

I really like the sewing poster. Those two would look great on your lovely studio's walls.
I know how you feel about household chores and not putting things up on walls. I was just telling my husband about some big plans I have for next month to make household maintenance - aka chasing dust bunnies - more efficient.
I'd better go enjoy my last week of holidays :-)
