a smaller litter than expected

I fully intended to sew and sew and sew all weekend so that I could add a huge littler of puppies to the shop today instead of just three. The little gray one in this photo is my favorite. (Click here to see the new ones and gets yours before they're gone.) You might be asking, "Why so few puppies, Laurie?" My poor husband came down with a nasty cold and if caring for a fussy man wasn't enough I had a fabulous allergy attack. Okay, poor Mark wasn't fussy. He didn't have a chance to be because I slipped him a mickey of non non-drowsy antihistamines and he slept half of the weekend away. Poor thing woke up and stumbled into the living room at about 11 pm Saturday night looking quite disoriented. He just sat in his chair (yes we have our own "spots" in the living room) and stared grumpily at the TV for a while. (Is it wrong that this still makes me giggle?) He looked so pathetic I gave him some juice, a little supper, and dropped a couple more pills into his hand so that he wouldn’t be awake all night.

Lately the things he does, even the ones that usually annoy me, are making me giggle. Like when we were cleaning out the garage last week and didn't agree (huge understatement) on where to put the old lumber from our last home improvement project. He got really irritated with me. As I watched him move the lumber to a neutral spot (one that I had not suggested but he felt would appease me and still not fully compromise his position on the issue) I got the giggles something fierce. I laughed so hard tears were rolling down my cheeks and I tried muffling the noise by covering my mouth with my hand. Oh, how I love that man!

But I digress... this was supposed to be about the puppies!

I do have a small litter today and I promise to get back to work and finish the others this week - so watch for them soon. Now go look at the new pups!

The puppies are super cute and it sounds like Mark is too!

I hope you are both feeling better very soon! I am sending you virtual chicken soup which includes chicken, carrots, celery, noodles, potatoes, cheese, jam, honey, chicken broth, pumpernikel bread, more chicken, walnuts, and a kazoo! I hope it helps!!

Warm Wishes!

So sorry to hear about the weekend. I hope you're both feeling much better.

I love the photo of your new puppy.

The puppies are adorable as usual :) I love the story of you and Mark in the garage, so cute, and hope your both feeling better again soon!

This post very nearly gives me the giggles. I feel for Mark — something indeterminate between sympathy & envy. (Part of the calling of singleness being to observe, in wonder, married people relating to one another in ways you'd think couldn't work, but nevertheless somehow do).

i hope you all feel better soon! and that picture of that puppie is wonderful! cutest lil fella!
loves!

They are so adorable. The drawstring bag is a wonderful bonus with the pups. It's a like a puppy blankie.

I am adding a real puppy to my house soon. We are picking him up in mid-April.

Cute puppy!

Oh boys! They're so helpless when they're sick , aren't they?
