ornament idea #2

Here’s another ornament idea. I really love how it turned out! I'm definitely thinking that they'd make a great new item for the pre-Christmas shop update, which just happens to coincide with the deadline for the holiday ornament swap. Nothing like putting a little pressure on myself, right?

So, what do you think about every elf getting his own outfit, including dresses for some cute little girl elves. Here are a couple more photos to check out. I think you'll really like the one of him from the back!

p.s. I still plan on making idea #1 in red velvet . So the hunt for the perfect ornament for the swap continues!

p.s.s. The verdit seems to be in on organizing fabric by color -- a resounding yes, you should do it! Thanks everyone for your advice. Very soon I plan to be sitting down (on the floor) with that very task in front of me.

Tres adorable! (Said in my best French accent.) Love the little fella. Can't wait to see a female incarnation.

Just too cute for words. The idea is just great. I finally have my idea for the swap as well but will be holding it close to my heart for now!! Good luck

niiiice face work! so sweet. without being too sweet.

I love the elf. He seems to have some very good personality. Which, in my mind, is just the thing to make a great ornament. :) I think I like him more than the bird. Just because he seems to be livelier. Although the bird is still very nice. :)

Eeek! So incredibly cute and by far the cutest elf I've ever seen. Yes, an army of elves with their own outfits! Can't wait.

He's magnificent.

Sweet elf! You sure are whipping out some cute ornaments!

absolutely darling!

oh i love love looooooove this lil' guy!

He is adorable- I love him!

So cute...and I love all the detail. The candy cane in his pocket, the striped legs and arms, the pompoms on his booties and hat...lovely!

Oh, I just love it. Love your first one too!

oh, Oh, OH!

He is ADORABLE!!

That is one SPIFFY elf. Love it.

Oh my gosh, this is so prettyful!

Oh. That is great. JUST great. First I find out the day after the deadline, that I've missed getting in on this unbelievably amazing swap.

And NOW, yes now...you have to go and show me this. This fantastic, perfectly adorable, sublime little elf who will not be finding his way into my stocking, because I missed this swap.

Seriously, what is a girl supposed to do? I may have to go out and get a peppermint mocha to console myself with.

Whoa is me...... I can't even bear to go back and look at the groups FLKR album, as all of the ornaments are truly fantastic!
