digs
Gather ‘round my friends and prepare to take a little peek into digs: the previously mentioned and heretofore most favored shop of me + many other fellow obsessees. The proprietor is Linda Schneewind. She is lovely + extremely helpful + has a great eye for color and design. When I was there in December to see the shop decorated in all of its holiday finery, she was kind enough to give me permission to take these pictures. Unfortunately, I did not get any photos of the lower level, which is where all of the fabric is found. I don't think that I can be held responsible for it though because I spent most of my time down there combing through the racks in a semi-delirious state. Ahh, those were some good times.

p.s. If you're a fan of the shop too, now would be a good time to delurk by telling me so + just saying "hi".

I visited Digs right at the end of December and fell in love with the place. My friend and I traveled from Des Moines, IA after finding out about the store on the internet just to see how truly amazing the shop was. We would love to have something similar closer to us!

I hate to say this in my first ever comment, but I am going to sit slumped over in my chair with my arms folded across my chest in envy of you for the rest of the day. I have only dreamed of a store this cool!

Lucky girl! Can you tell me what those colorful boxes are under the ribbon display in the bottom photo? Storage? I just love her use of color on the walls and the clever ways she displays things (doors as sandwich boards!).

I was first introduced to Digs in December and I've been itching to get back ever since. The very best selection of ribbon I have ever seen! Not to mention the drool-worthy fabric and yarn selections. Must go to Northfield, RIGHT NOW!

I was gonna say, "Oh ... I dig it." But that was just way too corny, so ...
"Oh ... I love it."
