going, going, gone

My Holiday Handmade Stocking Swap finally made it out the door yesterday.

Now I can get back to more pressing matters, like my gazillon-things-to-make-for-Christmas list. Which, I'm pretty sure, is longer than Santa's list this year! Does anyone else out there need a little motivation to keep making? Something in the non-panicky family of motivators would be nice. Oh, and something that doesn't make my efforts look quite so amateur -- even though they are -- wouldn't hurt either. At least they're for people who love me and are real good at loving everything I make. ♥

It took me hours and hours -- okay, 90 minutes -- to upload nine photos to etsy. Smack dab in the middle of the frustrating uploading debacle, both Safari and Photoshop synchronized a crash. Cruel, cruel programs. How could they do this to me after the morning I'd had? I'd been up since early(ish) to photograph everything for the shop update only to discover that the skies were dark, dark, dark. Despite the futility of the experiment, I suffered through that doomed photo shoot. And, as expected, the photos turned out dodgy. Yes, I was well aware that my husband has been telling me for months that I need to make a light box for such photo shoots. Fortunately, when he arrived on the scene, he refrained from saying "I told you so." No doubt, seeing my crazed look, fear prevented him.

And now, now that the miracle-also-known-as-a-shop-update and its accompanying horrors are behind me, I am in great need of a steaming cup of luxury sipping chocolate.
