I took this picture quite a while ago.
Yesterday I finally opened the full-sized image to get a closer look what I'd captured. It looks so strange, like a scale model. And I love the crooked pieces of slate.
These are the fabrics that I'm using to make a strip quilt. I'm taking a two-week class and we've already had one of the two classes. Does it surprise anyone that I was the only person in the class who refused to start sewing until she had laid out all of her fabric strips in the exact order she wants them? Yeah, me neither. I'll let you know how the quilt goes.
Update: Oops! I forgot to tell you about the fabrics. The second from right says "Asian Market Collection" on the selvage and I found it, along with all of the others, at Treadle Yard Goods in St. Paul, MN. The two dot prints are Amy Butler and the orange one with trees is a Robert Kaufman print I found in the sale rack. Sorry, I can't remember the others.
