I was there when this lovely girl came into the world and am so happy to have been there for her 8th birthday. We put this birthday banner together (and another one that's not pictured) and I must say she's a fantastic and innovative co-crafter. Happy Birthday again Olivia! Please say "hi" to your mom and dad and little sister for me. Oh, and while you're at it, would you also give your mom a big hug and tell her it's from me? Thanks!
Love, Aunt Laurie
Here's a shot of a banner in action. Don't you love that doorway!
And here's a shot of the supplies we used. I have to confess that the letters were a tad close together but, with Olivia's help, we came up with a fabulous fix. You can't even tell we had trouble. Oh, and I made my template in Pages. Super easy.
8:37 PM. That, my friends, is what time (tonight!) that there will be a full moon - the Hunter's Moon. Thanks for the correction Karen! I'll be looking for it and will hopefully post some photos tonight. See you back here in about 12 hours!
To be continued...
Well, we had friends over for dinner tonight and... poof! Before I knew it the evening was late and I'd missed the moon. Oh well, it was worth it to get to know some new friends. Hope you had a good Hunter's Moon Evening too.
+ Talked to a dear friend who lives far away. + Walked with my nephew to pick up his big brother from school and reconnected with a childhood friend who's son is in my nephew's grade. + Picked up a handful of fallen leaves. + Went for a bike ride. + Took a bunch of random photos for no reason other than I've missed my camera and the light is beautiful today.
Oh, yes! It's the appearance of the first Honeycrisp of the season thanks to our local Apple Festival. Even though this recipe calls for Granny Smith, I plan on using my Honeycrisp and add some lemon juice + zest and cut the sugar in half. Mmm...
Yep, that's right! I finally designed a business card for myself. The next step is to check out letterpress printers. I've always wanted to have my cards done on letterpress and there's a local company that I've been meaning to check out. I'll keep you posted!
