An outtake from a recent photo shoot for an as yet unannounced work-related project. Mmm... it includes my own recipe for a Blueberry Blackberry Free Form Pie. Oh, yes. Stay tuned for more details and maybe the recipe!
8:37 PM. That, my friends, is what time (tonight!) that there will be a full moon - the Hunter's Moon. Thanks for the correction Karen! I'll be looking for it and will hopefully post some photos tonight. See you back here in about 12 hours!
To be continued...
Well, we had friends over for dinner tonight and... poof! Before I knew it the evening was late and I'd missed the moon. Oh well, it was worth it to get to know some new friends. Hope you had a good Hunter's Moon Evening too.
This is how Clive looks right before he starts whining for attention. This cat's meows are crazy. He sounds more like he's yelling than anything else. So funny. (Here's a pic of him mid-whine.) And despite the fact that he turned ten this past June, he still looks like a kitten to me. Do cat years work the same way as dog years. Is it seven or nine you're supposed to multiply their age by? Ahh well, I can never remember.
+ a cake from my favorite bakery (a surprise from Mark) + a shiny new table (seen in second photo. another surprise from Mark) + spending time with good friends + delicious cupcakes (not pictured) + flowers from a friend's garden (pictured below)
I've found that my lavender doesn't usually last too long in a vase, but this bunch has made it through an entire week. So pretty. Today feels like Friday rather than Wednesday. I've got so many projects to start, regular work to get done and house work to do. So where is my mind? Sitting out in the sun dappled yard with a cold drink and a book. Any takers?
I seem to crave super soft wash-worn cottons and linens in the Summertime. This craving recently culminated in an urgent trip to the thrift store where I scored a gingham table cloth, blue floral pillow case and floral napkin. All 100% cotton and all for just .48 cents!
He surprised me with this flower from our garden yesterday. I wonder why some daffodils are deep yellow and others, like this one, are pale. Are there different shades of daffodils? With my luck it probably has something to do with their care and my poor flowers are malnourished. This likely is something that I could easily look up online but then I wouldn't have much of a post here now would I?
