Update at the bottom of this post...
It's hard to say. It's not a difficult question to answer but it isn’t an easy one either. Sometimes blogging feeds my ego – other times it makes me feel very small and insignificant. But wait that’s how I feel about blogging, not why I do it. I guess I need to take a closer look.
Blogging gave me my own space. (Okay, blogging and my dear husband.) I have my own little studio just off the kitchen because of blogging. After almost nine years of living in this house I finally have a space just for me - a room of my own for working, creating and lounging. I love it and I never would have done it if I hadn’t started blogging. But that isn't the only reason...
Blogging challenges me to be creative. I never became the artist that I dreamed of being when I was a little girl, but when I make something new and put a picture of it on my site I feel like one. The support, encouragement and inspiration I have received from other bloggers is astonishing, and I am enormously grateful for it.

Thank you to everyone for saying such nice things about my space! For those of you asked - I do keep this area pretty neat. However, if you looked just on the other side of the book shelves you'd find my desk and that is a lot harder to keep free from clutter.
